The WEATHER GUARD EZGLIDE2 2291-3-01 is the extended drop-down option for Medium and High Roof Ford Transit cargo vans. One product serves both roof-height collections, with the mounting kit chosen for your wheelbase.
Extra drop for taller vans
The support rotates down and then slides an additional two feet, bringing the ladder farther down the side of the van. Smooth rollers and dual hydraulic dampers reduce effort and help control the movement. Operation is manual; this is not an electric or powered hydraulic lift.
This makes loading and unloading easier to plan from beside the van, reducing overhead reaching and the need to climb to access ladders on the roof. Actual reach depends on your vehicle, ladder and height. Follow the operating instructions and maintain a clear area around the moving rack.
Single-side system with options
The drop-down assembly can be mounted on either side. A second-side conversion or short-ladder kit can be quoted separately if needed. Manufacturer photos illustrate the mechanism; vehicles, ladders and optional accessories are not included unless specified in your quote.
2026 Transit fitment check
WEATHER GUARD specifies installation changes for the roof antenna location on 2026 Medium and High Roof 148-inch wheelbase Transits. Its bulletin excludes Low Roof 148-inch and extended-body models from that antenna issue. We will check your model year, body length and roof equipment before confirming installation.
Vehicle fit and installation
Ford Transit Medium Roof cargo vans: 130-inch or 148-inch wheelbase. High Roof: 148-inch standard or extended body. Required mounting kit: 2130-0-01 for 130-inch wheelbase; 2102-0-01 for 148-inch wheelbase. Confirm model year, roof equipment, ladder dimensions and load limits before purchase.
Mounting channels are separate manufacturer components. Your installed quote will identify the rack, required mounting kit and any optional equipment. Never exceed the lowest applicable vehicle, rack or mounting-system limit. Secure ladders before travel and check overall vehicle height.

Who provides the product warranty?
The upfit product manufacturer provides the product warranty, not Ford. Coverage and terms vary by product; ask us for the applicable manufacturer’s warranty details for your selected equipment.
