Easier ladder access for Low Roof Transit vans
The WEATHER GUARD EZGLIDE2 2271-3-01 combines roof storage with a drop-down mechanism on one side of the van. It can be configured for the driver or passenger side. Its aluminum construction and white powder-coated finish suit everyday commercial use.
How the drop-down rack helps
The handle rotates the ladder support down beside the van, bringing the ladder closer to you rather than requiring you to reach across the roof. Rollers and two hydraulic dampers help control movement and reduce handling effort. It is manually operated, not an electric or powered hydraulic lift.
Lowering the ladder beside the van can reduce overhead reaching and the need to climb to reach roof-mounted ladders. The final access height depends on the vehicle, ladder and operator; safe loading technique and manufacturer instructions still apply.

This listing is a single-side system. Ask about a compatible second-side conversion or short-ladder accessory if your equipment requires it; these are additional options, not included by default. Tell us your ladder type, length and weight before we quote.
Vehicle fit and installation
Ford Transit Low Roof cargo vans: 130-inch or 148-inch wheelbase. Required mounting kit: 2130-0-01 for 130-inch wheelbase; 2102-0-01 for 148-inch wheelbase. Confirm model year, roof equipment, ladder dimensions and load limits before purchase.
Mounting channels are separate manufacturer components. Your installed quote will identify the rack, required mounting kit and any optional equipment. Never exceed the lowest applicable vehicle, rack or mounting-system limit. Secure ladders before travel and check overall vehicle height.
